This session provides attendees with guidance and best practices on developing effective Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) narratives, focusing on formatting, how to organize your report so the reader understands the activity you identified, FinCENs Key terms, and what to include (and avoid!) in your report. We’ll also discuss developing and maintaining valuable partnerships with law enforcement. Attendees will gain access to resources that will help attendees build on their knowledge and improve internal reporting processes.
At the end of this course, learners will be able to:
• Identify the critical elements of a SAR narrative
• Select the appropriate FinCEN Key Terms for the fraud being reported
• Analyze the institution’s existing SAR processes for areas of improvement
