The UK Faster Payments experience is providing some guidance for the U.S. Federal Reserve's efforts to move beyond its batch-orientated ACH system.  Should it take a different approach, and if so, what should the new system or hybrid look like?  Meanwhile, NACHA's new Same-Day ACH has gotten bank support as well as support from the Federal Reserve.  How will these and other changes help or hinder the evolution/revolution?  How important are technology standards and what about compliance and regulatory issues?
