The State of Open Banking
In this presentation we will cover the current state of Open Banking in the US and the challenges and benefits today’s players face in the Open Banking ecosystem. We will also discuss the future outlook for Open Banking in the US including next steps and the timeline for regulation. As Open Banking begins to gain traction, understand the potential benefits to early adopters and how technical standards are being developed for Open Banking.

Deep Fakes: It’s Reality, not Sci Fi

Deep Fakes – kinda sounds like a cool Sci-Fi movie huh? But the reality is that this technology is being used every day in nefarious ways, including trying to scam consumers, businesses, and even financial institutions. If someone you have spoken to for years calls with an odd request, but you KNOW their voice, it could be difficult to identify fraud. In today’s environment, we have to question whether we are actually talking with the true account holder. And consider this, what if your institution performs call-backs, and the person, whose voice you know from speaking to them before, says the unusual transfer request is approved, but later the true account holder claims you never called them? Where does that leave the institution? Ultimately, your institution did not gain valid authorization.

From Compliance concerns like CIP to Fraud, this panel of experts will help every financial institution employee understand the realities of deep fakes in today’s world, including how this technology is often used to commit fraud. Starting with a demonstration, this panel of experts will prepare every attendee for the unfortunate inevitable new technique fraudsters are using to bypass your security protocols.
