Today’s financial institutions offer complex products and services, many also have complicated relationships with Third-Party Service Providers and partners. Risk management is integral to an institution’s ability to succeed in today’s environment, and employees’ understanding of their role in their institution’s risk management landscape is critical.

What does it mean to have a culture of risk management, and why does it matter whether or not your financial institution has one? In this session, NEACH will answer both of these questions, as well as explore your role in your institution’s culture of risk management, because every financial institution employee contributes to its risk management culture. Institutions that lack a culture of risk management expose themselves to potential financial losses, operational incidents, legal and regulatory incidents, and reputational risk. In this intermediate-level session, we'll break down essential aspects of a culture of risk management and examine tactics for creating a culture of risk management.
