NEACH is revamping its education offerings, culminating with the launch of NEACH University in 2024. This year, NEACH offers a sneak peek into its new Management Track, which addresses the unique challenges and opportunities payments managers face in a rapidly evolving industry. The track aims to help managers understand the strategic nature of payment functions and provide guidance on effectively managing payments-related operations and services.

“We are reimagining the way we do education,” explained Mark Dixon, AAP, APRP, NCP, and Vice President of NEACH Education. “NEACH will be introducing new approaches to learning, including video elements, self-guided portions, a plethora of new resources, and more holistic, easy-to-digest content to meet the needs of all types of learners.”

The management sessions are part of NEACH University’s new two-pronged focus, which features a learning path and a career development approach. Long known for the caliber of its educational offerings, NEACH's heightened focus on offering resources focused on career development is a natural extension of NEACH’s mission to serve as a strategic partner to its members in all aspects of their development.

"Members need to invest in their ongoing development, no matter where they are in their career path," Dixon pointed out. "Even if you're not in management today, building these skills and demonstrating that you understand concepts outside of your day-to-day routines is good. It's also a tremendous opportunity for personal and professional growth."

Management Track Sessions

Management sessions are designed to aid payments leaders by exploring topics that will help them effectively manage payments-related oversight. These sessions concentrate on compliance, metric oversight, product management, risk, and more.

Specifically, session topics include:

Taught by well-versed and experienced NEACH staff, these sessions will dive deep into some of the most pressing management issues today.

Dixon, when asked what topics he plans to cover in the Manager’s Role in Policy Management session, which he teaches, replied, “I really want members to walk away from this session with an understanding of the importance and effectiveness of having appropriate governance in place.” He added, “I’m also working on giving session participants a sample approach to policy management, which they can use as a model framework for other payments channels.”

"I'm excited about supporting our members through the information and resources provided through the Management Track," Dixon added. "I encourage members to make the most of this opportunity by signing up for the sessions in this track and exploring all NEACH has to offer."
